Please find a Media Statement released by the Government of WA regarding the opening of grants to agriculture and aquaculture entrepreneurs. Please note: Despite the grants name, fishers are eligible to access the funding that is provided via the grant process. A Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Factsheet has been provided with further detail, however we have included the most relevant section for your information: Question: Are projects that involve wild catch considered ‘aquaculture’ and therefore eligible for the program? Answer: Yes, aquaculture could involve keeping, breeding, hatching, culturing or harvesting activities. There is no intention to exclude segments of the fishing industry by using the term ‘aquaculture’. Potential applicants are encouraged to contact the program officer to discuss project eligibility and the evaluation criteria if they are unsure.
